By creating an account or using Confide, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Confide provides end-to-end encrypted group messaging, voice communication, and file sharing. All message content is encrypted on your device before transmission. We cannot access, moderate, or recover your encrypted content.
You may not use Confide to:
Due to end-to-end encryption, we cannot monitor message content. Enforcement of these terms is limited to actions observable at the infrastructure level.
Confide uses post-quantum end-to-end encryption. This means:
You may self-host a Confide server instance. Self-hosted instances are operated independently and are not covered by these terms. The operator of a self-hosted instance is responsible for their own compliance with applicable law.
We aim to keep Confide available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Confide shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. This does not affect your statutory rights under EU consumer protection law.
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your personal data is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the applicable national law of the data controller's place of establishment. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction. Your statutory consumer rights under the law of your country of residence remain unaffected.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via the application or email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
